Essential choices
There are a number of elements that are common to every funeral. These include:
Transport
The coffin will be carried to the service by hearse. This is usually followed by limousines with the chief mourners. We operate our own fleet of vehicles which can chauffeur you as required to save you worrying about directions and parking. A specific route for the procession can be considered if required.
Special Requests
Where you would like the funeral to reflect the life of the person who has died we will do our utmost to carry out special requests such as providing a horse drawn carriage or releasing doves at the graveside.
Charitable Donations
Some families will offer those attending the funeral service the opportunity to make a donation to a nominated charity, usually one that the deceased volunteered with or received help from. Donations are sometimes requested in place of floral tributes.
After the Funeral
After the funeral, friends and family often gather for refreshments and to talk. Usually this takes place at a local pub or hotel or at the house of a family member.
